About Pulitzer Amsterdam

Quintessential Dutch Elegance

Stretching through 25 connecting 17th & 18th century canal houses, Pulitzer Amsterdam is a unique blend of traditional and modern Dutch craftmanship hidden amongst the city’s iconic canals. Inspired by the rich history of the Golden Age canal houses in which the hotel is housed, the décor is modern and comfortable but unmistakably Dutch, making you feel at the same time at home and immersed in the city's culture.

Our History

With canal houses originally constructed in the 17th and 18th centuries, a stay at Pulitzer Amsterdam is a historical discovery of a long and illustrious heritage dating back to the Golden Age.

Unique Design

Following a complete redesign led by Jacu Strauss, the design of Pulitzer Amsterdam is inspired by the illustrious history of the buildings and those who occupied them throughout the past 400 years starting in the Dutch Golden Age through to the 1900's mid-century.

Central Location

Centrally located, Pulitzer Amsterdam overlooks the picturesque waters of Amsterdam's historic central canal belt that has been the centre of the city’s social and cultural life for centuries. The canal hotel sits in the heart of the city's UNESCO world heritage site.
