Ron Stoevelaar New Head Concierge Hotel Pulitzer

Ron Stoevelaar has been appointed as new Head Concierge of Hotel Pulitzer, a Luxury Collection Hotel. Ron has been working at Hotel Pulitzer since 2010 and is the successor of former Head Concierge Robin van Kooten.

AMSTERDAM, 1 February 2012 – Ron Stoevelaar is promoted on the 1^st of February to Head Concierge of Hotel Pulitzer, a Luxury Collection Hotel. De position of Head Concierge was available when Robin van Kooten retired last year after 41 of loyal services at Hotel Pulitzer.

“While being employed at Hotel Pulitzer, Ron has shown he is ready to take the next step of becoming Head Concierge. We are convinced that Ron, with his passion and enthusiasm, is capable of taking the Concierge Team to an even higher level,” according to Alex van Gastel, Hotel Manager Hotel Pulitzer, a Luxury Collection Hotel.

For the last 22 years Ron Stoevelaar has been employed in the hospitality. After he started his career as supervisor at an Airport hotel, he was soon to become Concierge at the Krasnapolsky hotel. Ron became an expert of Amsterdam by intensive city walks, visiting museums, boutique shops and hospitality establishments. By the use of his years of experience and extensive knowledge of the surroundings, the 53 year old Head Concierge has been able to exceed guests’ expectations repeatedly.

“The Concierge is one of the main elements of The Luxury Collection, where Hotel Pulitzer is part of. It is an honor to be a Hotel Pulitzer ambassador, as the Concierge Team operates on a very high level” according to Ron Stoevelaar. “Robin van Kooten has build a most professional Concierge department. I believe it is an exciting challenge to widen and redevelop the term ‘Concierge’ by e.g. the use of Facebook and the Pulitzer Concierge Tour.

Under supervision of the newly appointed Head Concierge, the Concierge Team launches the Pulitzer Concierge Tour. This unique Amsterdam city walk will take guests along all the favorite places of all four Concierges. Throughout the Pulitzer Concierge Tour different stops will be made at famous establishments, where one can taste typical Amsterdam delicacies. The tour will be offered every last Saturday of the month, during high season even weekly. At the end of the tour guest will receive a souvenir from Hotel Pulitzer to take home.

Additionally, Ron Stoevelaar was appointed as Vice-President of Les Clefs d’Or Holland, the Dutch Association of the Golden Keys. Together with Brian Mackenzie, President of Clefs d’Or, and other Concierges, Ron is working on improving the Concierge image.
